History
FPI Hotels & Resorts, part of FairPlay International is established in 2006 due to the dynamic expansion in the hospitality business. At the moment the FPI Hotels & Resorts portfolio consists of four business hotels and three apartment houses in Sofia; two holiday villages – one by the Black Sea and one in the Pirin Mountains.
In Sofia FPI Hotels & Resorts manages the business hotels Arena di Serdica (5 stars) and Crystal Palace (4 stars), which are a good example for the social engagement and company policy for the preservation of the cultural heritage of Bulgaria. The building of Crystal Palace hotel is an architecture monument, whereas the Arena di Serdica is unique for the archeological excavations, found during the building of the property - 1/6 part of the ancient amphitheater of ancient Serdika, dated ІІІ – ІV century. The amphitheater is incorporated, restored and displayed within the building. Therefore Arena di Serdica is the first hotel in Bulgaria, categorized as Residence Hotel.
Greenville (4 stars) is the third FPI Hotels & Resorts city hotel. Here, for the first time the two services, offered by the chain are combined – hotel and apartment houses. The apartment houses – Iztok and Bulgaria - successfully impose the combination of hotel services and home comfort in one product, which gains more popularity in Bulgaria.
At the end of 2007 the newest member joined in - the Hill Hotel, situated at the highest point of Sofia. The hotel is typical business property, offering all the comfort the business traveler may need.
Part of the FPI Hotels & Resorts collection are also the two holiday villages - Santa Marina - in Sozopol by the Black Sea and St. Ivan Rilski – in Bansko, Pirin Mountains. Santa Marina Resort was nominated with the prestigious prize Building of the Year 2006 in Holiday villages category.
The newest project which is currently under development is Rila Lake Resort, Ski and Spa, located in the Rila Mountains, on the shore the Panichishte Lake. It will be built in the typical mountain architecture and will comprise of 8 villas with 308 apartments and a hotel part with 103 rooms and apartments, conference halls, SPA center with indoor pool, 2 restaurants, lobby and night bar, kindergarten and parking.

Success for Santa Marina’s Campaign “1,2,3 … 1,000: Be the Thousandth Client” Right Before the End of the Summer Season Sveltana Sergeevna From Moscow is Client # 1,000 to Santa Marina Sofia, August 31st 2010 The last day of August was a lucky day for both clients and team of Santa Marina! Svetlana Sergeevna has become Owner # 1,000 in the Holiday Village! She made the first installment for purchasing her new second home in a timely manner, and as a result, she was happy to learn that she won the big prize: a furniture pack of her choice from our catalogue and an annual maintenance fee for free. Sveltana lives in Moscow. Her family has three children: a 3-year old infant and twins at the age of 15. Together with her husband, Svetlana runs a small business with edible vegetable oils in the Moscow Region. The whole family love sports, tourism and traveling! “Our plans are to live in the apartment throughout the summer. Next year, the youngest child and our Granny will arrive at Santa Marina as early as May.”, Sveltana told us. The happy family also plans a visit to Bulgaria in January to choose among the furniture packs available for their apartment. A comfort prize: an annual maintenance fee, will also be awarded to Client # 1,001. We expect to learn his/her name very soon, as August was one of the most successful months with respect to sales in the history of Santa Marina, as well as one of the most successful for the tourism at the holiday village. In 2010, the Bulgarian hotel chain FPI Hotels & Resorts marks 10 years since opening its first hotel. At present the company's portfolio includes eight properties, six of which are business tailored and located in Sofia: Apartment Houses "Iztok" and "Bulgaria", Hotel Hill, Hotel and apartment houses Greenville, Boutique Hotel Crystal Palace, the only Residence hotel in Sofia - Arena di Serdica. The company manages two resort properties in the country - Santa Marina near Sozopol and “St. Ivan Rilski "in Bansko. FPI Hotels & Resorts has won the prestigious award "Most successfully developing Bulgarian hotel chain”, awarded by the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association in 2007.
